Athletics

KDR is engaged in many athletic activities at Virginia Tech. Whether it’s through our intramural teams, annual golf tournament, or popular tailgating before football games, our brothers have many ways to get involved.

Each year we field at least one team for most intramural sports, including flag football, basketball, softball, soccer, and inner tube water polo. More often than not, the interest is so high that multiple teams must be formed for each sport.  This allows our brothers to choose between being on a more competitive team or one just looking to have fun.

A tradition that we recently started is an annual golf tournament at the Pete Dye River course.  Held each year the day after the spring football game, the golf tournament receives heavy participation from alumni who come down for the weekend to catch the spring game, play 18 holes, and catch up with their fraternity.

Speaking of Virginia Tech football, like most Hokies we are passionate football fans.  Our love for Tech football may only be preceded by our love for tailgating.  It is extremely uncommon for a KDR tailgate to start later than 7 AM and even more uncommon for anyone participating to not have a great time.
